Robert Alton Clarke has a passion for helping his clients that can’t work due to a disability, those who have been wrongfully injured and those accused of committing a crime.
While in law school, Robert had the unique opportunity of trying two cases as an intern for the prosecutor’s office. The two cases he tried, one a murder as 2nd chair and one a robbery as 1st chair, resulted in convictions on all counts. Also while in law school Robert was a Research Editor and Board Member of the legal research journal The Urban Lawyer: The National Quarterly on State and Local Government Law and has a case note, Hernandez v. City of Hanford, 39 Urb. Law. 1055 (2007), published in the same. Robert was recognized in law school for his commitment to public service for volunteering his time to Legal Aid of Western Missouri and the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office.
After law school, Robert served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Bob Beaird in the Jackson County Circuit Court experiencing and learning the judicial system from the inside.
Robert brought his practical experience in the Jackson County legal system to Burnett Evans Banks, LLC where he practices personal injury law, criminal defense and leads the disability law team, representing claimants before the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Robert lives, work and worships in Blue Springs, MO and is deeply committed to his local community.
Robert is admitted to practice law in the State of Missouri, the State of Kansas, the federal District of Kansas and the federal Western District of Missouri. Robert is an U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs accredited attorney.
